OUR HISTORY
NGO O AMOR AGRADECE
We started as a horizontally organized initiative, with the aim of delivering food to those who are hungry, in 2018, among friends, collectively cooking and delivering around 150 hot meals.
With the pandemic and the restrictions on contact, we developed smaller groups, each person in their own home. We started again with 9 women cooking and delivering, always forming teams with people who already were socializing with, at that time.
We then formed groups of volunteers, led by other volunteers, divided into regions of the city of São Paulo and in Guarulhos. Today, we have 12 groups, distributing 3,500 hot meals per week.
In community, we could deliver a plate of food to someone who were hungry every day of the week.

Who had a car,
made the DELIVERIES
Who had money
or food, DONATED
In each lunchbox, a dose of love, dignity, hospitality and health for those who need it most.
The painted lids have become a signature of the project. A way to deliver even more than just good, healthy food.

PARTNERSHIPS
Where did the food came from?
PARTNERSHIP WITH INSTITUTO KAIRÓS
AND FRENTE ALIMENTA
With the support of sponsors, we purchased agroecological products from 327 rural farming families and 4 urban farmers to use in our 3 kitchens located in communities, ensuring richer and healthier food for those living on the outskirts of the city and more sustenance for small rural producers. In 5 months of partnership, 5 tons of food were produced.
PARTNERSHIP WITH PASSARINHA ORGÂNICA
Since 2020, the company's customers have had the option of including in their organic food orders the donation of as many kilos of food as they wish to O Amor Agradece. The team of west region used these organic products to produce around 500 weekly lunch boxes destined for communities in the west and east zones of the city. In two years, we have received more than 8 tons of food through this system.
DONATIONS

Individuals, companies and food producers donated food, which were used by our cooks or distributed directly to the communities. In two years, more than 20 tons have been donated.
